Ski holiday in Winterberg
In total, the Ferienwelt Winterberg as the centre of the Wintersport-Arena Sauerland offers 72 red, blue and black slopes. With 27.5 km of slopes, the Winterberg ski lift carousel is the largest connected ski area north of the Main line. You can use its 26 ski lifts (mostly chair lifts) with just one ticket. Nearly all slopes can be equipped with artificial snow. From our hotel in Winterberg you can reach the ski lift carousel Winterberg within 5 minutes on foot. Ski rentals and ski schools can also be found in the direct vicinity of the hotel.
Tobogganing & cross country skiing
Make your children happy! Show them how much fun snowman building and tobogganing can be on our toboggan slopes for young and old! Some are illuminated, others are covered with snow or even have a special toboggan lift for the easy way up. In addition, up to 30 scenic cross-country ski runs run through the snow-covered landscape. They lead around Winterberg, over the Kahler Asten and four other "eight hundreders". Thanks to their altitude, they are among the most snow-sure in the region. Machine groomed, they offer up to 120 partially networked kilometres in good natural snow conditions. As you can see, Winterberg offers you probably the best opportunities for winter sports in the German low mountain ranges - whether skiing, tobogganing or cross-country skiing.
